Rules are subject to change before a season officially begins. Once a season has begun, however, the respective rules will remain in place until the conclusion of said season. Any gray-area decisions that must be made during the season will be determined by event coordinators and Fairway’s employees.
Format (scramble rules may differ):
- Best ball
- 1 or 2 players per team
- $10 per ball
- 1 or 2 balls per team
- Single players may play 1 ball max
- 18 Holes
- Players may buy more than one ball
- Each player is entitled to 1 mulligan per 9 holes
- Assemble team at the tee time or call ahead
- Each season begins at the first tee time of the month and ends at the last tee time
- Each season will feature a different course
- Courses will be selected by staff members. Selection may be based on current golf events and Holidays. Selection may also be random.
- Please go to www.fairways.fun/booking to reserve or view available tee times.
- Winning team members evenly divide any cash or gift card prize
- Prizes may or may not change from month to month.
- Teams must finish a rated course by the end of the season (month)
- Employees will not save a game for play after season has expired
- Exception: If there are any errors on the fault of Fairway’s or employees of Fairway’s that cause delay of game, teams may be entitled to extending the length of their game for 1 day after errors are corrected.
- Some errors may occur that are not at the fault of Fairway’s, employees of Fairway’s, or competing players. Such errors may not warrant extension of play beyond the expiration of the respective game.
- Practice swings may trigger the launch monitor to read an intentional hit. This cannot be reversed unless by using a mulligan or restarting the game. Mulligans are currently unavailable for scramble games.
- Teams can buy in at any point during the season month to play in the season before the season is over.
- Teams are entitled to purchase as many buy-ins as they want, as long as the buy-ins are scheduled and played during the season’s time-frame.
- Tee times must be reserved in advance
- We suggest booking at least 2 hours of game-play in order to have enough time to finish a rated course
- Gameplay can take longer than 1 tee time (1 hour). It is highly recommended that teams take this into consideration - especially during seasons that consist of more than 9-holes
- Players must adhere to directions given by scorekeepers and event-workers.
- Application of these rules is subject to the scorekeepers and event-workers discretion
- A ball cannot be teed up after its first stroke unless it is teed on the tee box due to a mulligan, out-of-bounds re-hit or other valid reason. For example, players may not tee a ball if it lies on the fairway, rough, or sand trap.
- Players may not adjust sight heading on the green.
- Each player is entitled to 1 mulligan per 9 holes. Mulligans will not roll over from the front 9 to the back 9.
- Note: launch monitors may misread a practice swing as a hit - at the scorekeepers discretion, an extra mulligan may be granted.
- Each team must have a unique team name
- Once a team is created, the composition of that team cannot change. If a game must be paused, it can only resume with the same players.
- If the composition of players in a team changes at any point, then a new team must be formed
- Teams may play as many games as booked during the season to improve standings.
- Only a team's best score will be recorded on the leaderboard.
- Teams will be formed at their initial tee time upon purchase of participating balls
- If a team member does not buy in, said team member will not be included in the respective team.
- Once a player's ball is on the green, he/she may not adjust the aim of the screen and aim-line, unless the ball is not in direct line with the pin (i.e. a portion of the fringe is blocking a direct line from the ball to the pin.)
- Team members may be joined to more than one team at any point during the season.
- Only 1 player per ball
- Players may not swing for another team member. Once a player has started playing a ball, that ball may only be played by that respective player.
- Tie-breakers will be determined by the lowest scores on the hardest holes for a completed round.
- Starting at the hole with Handicap 1…2…3, and so on until a winner is determined.
- The leaderboard will be posted on www.fairways.fun
- Any deviation from these rules may result in game termination or team/player disqualification
- Have fun, be safe, hit ‘em straight!!!
